It’s official: the new dock on Bukolt Island is officially in place and ready for use! After months of preparations, measuring, planning, building, transporting, and waiting for good weather, our friends from Prime W.A.T.E.R. Anglers were able to finish installing the new dock on Bukolt Island last weekend! We owe an enormous THANK YOU to the fantastic volunteers from PWA who have been working to bring this project through to fruition since last winter.
This project was made possible with Community Grant support from the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin! Thank you to both of these partners for helping to provide community members with a safer way to access Bukolt Island. After decades of private ownership, the Island has been open to the public since NCCT acquired it in 2019. Since, NCCT volunteers and community partners have put hundreds of hours into removing old structures and restoring native plant species to the land and shoreline.
