Dr. Ray P. Reser completed his Ph.D. in Archaeology and Paleo-Anthropology from the Australian National University. He was a Ph.D. Scholar with the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, ANU, North Australian Research Unit, as well as a Researcher with the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies from 2003-2007. Since 1985 Ray has been conducting archaeological survey and fieldwork projects in Central Wisconsin. In addition, he has participated in research work in New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Reser’s interests include Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene hunter-gatherers in Australia and North America, rock art studies, Paleoindian to Early Archaic lithic technology and sourcing in the Western Great Lakes, and the use of indigenous knowledge, cosmology and origin stories to inform the archaeological record.
M.S. Natural Resources-Environmental Education, B.S. Biology/Chemistry from UWSP. Susan has nearly two decades of experience providing professional development in environmental education including numerous courses, workshops, and presentations. She served on several boards and committees to advance environmental issues related to green schools, bird conservation, and environmental education. She is currently the Vice President of the Aldo Leopold Audubon Society.
Susan is passionate of connecting communities to their resources to help build a more sustainable and healthy world. Served Peace Corps Tanzania 98-00. In her free time, Susan enjoys hiking, gardening, kayaking, and biking with her husband andtwo children. She recently received her bird banding permit which brought her to the project on Bukolt Island.
